Decks: Composite vs. Wood

Should we go with Composite or Wood? This is a question our clients ask all the time when deciding what deck material is best for their project. There is no wrong answer but there are many factors to determine which one would work best for your deck.

Composite decking has many benefits over hardwoods or pressure treated decking. It is 100% environmentally friendly, virtually maintenance free and comes in a variety of natural wood designs and colors to choose from. Additionally, we commonly use @timbertech composite decking which is weather, stain, UV and scratch resistant.

Wood decking has been around for many years due to its affordability, natural look and feel. There are a wide array of wood species, plank widths and tones available. Recently there have been vast improvements in hardwoods (IPE, Cedar, Tigerwood) as well as the introduction of engineered/modified wood (Thermory)
