Outdoor Kitchens: What Are They
Outdoor Kitchens
Interested in dining out? Why not do so in your own backyard. Below we talk about some of the new improvements in outdoor kitchens.
Materials: Kitchens of the past would often not be able to stand up to the elements and tests of time. There have been vast improvements and innovations in the material selections for outdoor kitchens that are not only sustainable but tailor to many different tastes and styles.
Frames and Cabinets:
Counter tops: Previously pavers or outdoor tile were used and would breakdown or require frequent cleaning maintenance. Now we are using granite, natural stone slabs and concrete.
Grills and cooking surfaces:
Fuel: Changing propane tanks is a thing of the past! Nearly all of our outdoor kitchens are installed seamlessly with natural gas hookups. This is not only extremely convenient but also cheaper and better on the environment. While propane does burn hotter (2,500 Propane btu's vs 1,000 Natural Gas btu's per cubic foot) you remove the risk of running out of fuel resulting in under cooked cuisine. All of our natural gas installations follow strict fire marshall and fire safety building codes which also include safety fuel shut offs.
